Success in college is mostly based on organisation and always being ahead with your tasks, and to achieve that you need a good planner.
There are tons of different college planners out there, all of them with different systems, focuses and layouts, but the most important thing is to find your own organisation system and a good planner to go with it.
During my time in college, I’ve tried many different organisation strategies and college planners and whatever your system is, we will find a good planner for you. Here are our favourite college planners that will help you stay on top of your A-game.
THESE ARE THE BEST COLLEGE PLANNERS:
1. Erin Condren Academic Planner
This is one of my favourite academic planners of all time. I’ve used this one since 1st year and it’s been a real life-changer. It has absolutely everything laid out for you, and it’s incredibly simple to come up with a good system with this planner.
It has to-do lists, productivity pages, Class schedule pages and much more, so it will be really easy to stay on top of absolutely everything. I wouldn’t recommend this one if you are mixing it with work or other things since it’s really academic-based, but this comes from a person that has 3 different planners so it might work for you.
You can customize all Erin Condren planners and they have hundreds of designs for all the areas in your life. I recommend 100%.
2. Collab Planning Co. Perfect Day Planner
As I said above, I have 3 different planners for different areas of my life. This is my blogging/life planner and it’s so awesome I can’t recommend it enough. It has a perfect balance between work and life-related areas and it’s also really easy to mix them both if desired.
It accounts for things that other planners don’t – loving the outfit area – and the biggest plus is that you don’t lose any planner space because you write down the day and the month on the top of the page. I hate not using the pages designated for weekends or holidays because it is a waste of money and paper and this one is perfect in that sense.
This planner also comes from a small business I found on TikTok and we love supporting small businesses. This is one of the best college planners if you need a system that mixes both your personal and academic life.
3. Lovendu Hustle B**** Planner
I just started using this goal-setting planner and so far I am loving it. I love setting long and short-term goals but I do it on notebooks and never follow through with it.
This planner has everything you need to achieve those goals and hold yourself accountable if you procrastinate or don’t get work done. This one as well as the planner above doesn’t have set days so you can use it whenever and you don’t lose pages for weekends and holidays. If you are looking for a kind of stress-free way to achieve your goals this is one of the best college planners.
Lovendu is a small business founded by a psychologist that applies her knowledge into creating beautiful planners to help people with their mental health and wellbeing. They also have an amazing anxiety planner that would combine perfectly with all of my college planners, so that one is going into the wish-list.
The only negative(ish) aspect of this planner is that because of all the content it has it’s just a 14-week planner – it’d be incredibly thick if it was for a whole year – so it can get expensive to use it all year round, but the content is SO good that in my opinion, it’s completely worth it.
4. Papier 2021 Planner
For those of you who prefer more simple college planners, Papier is your brand. They are still great for time-blocking fans and you get weekly, monthly and yearly overviews which are really handy. It also has goal-setting, important dates and to-dos, and we all love a to-do page, don’t we? You can customize the front with your name and every single design in the website can be used as a journal, planner or notebook.
I used to be a Papier girl and they definitely have some of the best college planners, but I do recommend complementing it with a goal-setting planner or side planner for life/work.
5. Day Designer 2021 Daily Planner
If you have a rather large budget, this is one of the best college planners EVER. Day designer planners are everything you will ever need in a planner and more. Their Signature Today & To-Do page format combines your daily schedule and to-do list on one page, which is extremely convenient in my opinion.
This planner includes goal setting worksheets, annual overview, monthly calendars, Dinner, Gratitude, Top 3 To-Do Prompts, Notes and much, much more. Aesthetically, these planners are stunning and they come in different sizes to meet your needs. If you are anything like me, you are already trying to justify this expense on your credit card.
This is genuinely one of the best college planners to ever be created and I can’t recommend it more.

6. Hana Daily Plans Planner
Paperchase is one of my favourite stationery brands, especially for all accessories and desk college planners. This planner has sections for goals, tasks, notes and an hour by hour plan, which is perfect for students. It has tons of amazing reviews, and I think that the layout is really smart and useful.
Again, with more simple college planners like this one, I recommend combining it with a goal-setting planner or another simple planner for life or work.
7. Oddmuse 2021 Planner
Lovers of neutral colours and aesthetically-pleasant planners, prepare. This stunning planner was recently launched by one of my favourite clothing brands in London and I can’t get over how beautiful and well-designed it is.
Lovers of neutral colours and aesthetically-pleasant planners, prepare. This stunning planner was recently launched by one of my favourite clothing brands in London and I can’t get over how beautiful and well-designed it is. This planner helps you set your goals and plan your year by quarter, months, weeks, days and hours. It encourages you to reflect at the end of every month, and again when you reach the end of each quarter, to inspire you to keep going no matter how far you have come.
8. Mål Paper Daily Goal-Setting Planner
A gratitude journal and productivity daily planner in one. This is the perfect goal-setting planner to accompany any of the college planners we’ve seen so far. This planner aims to help you focus on the positive and become more mindful, and 2021 is all about becoming our better selves, isn’t it?
The information in the goal planner is easy to follow, and a more in-depth version is available here. The Daily Goal-Setter has an area to write down your long-term, medium-term and short-term goals. It is useful to refer to your goals at the start of each month or week to keep you on track.
9. Customized Daily Planner
Customized college planners have that extra touch that I love. This stunning planner comes with space for planning, goal setting, to-do lists, note-taking, water tracking, meal plans, schedules and so much more, which turns it into one of the best college planners of the list.
It comes un-dated but with space to enter the date, so it can be started at any time of the year and any day can be skipped with no pages wasted, perfect for any chill days. It is made in the UK but they have worldwide shipping so don’t worry if you fall in love with it.
10. The Ultimate Academic Planner
And last but not least, one of the best-rated college planners of all time. The Ultimate Academic Planner has everything a student needs and wants, making student life extremely easy. You get a horizontal layout to track your classes, as well as weekly to-do’s, due assignments, study box and lines to write extras from class.
You can customize pretty much everything from the starting date, the length of the planner, personalize it, add pages and much more, which makes it incredibly fun. The design is beautiful and the content makes it one of the best college planners out there at the moment. It promises to be life-changing and I don’t have any doubt it is.
BEST ACCESSORIES FOR COLLEGE PLANNERS:
Whilst having a good college planner is fundamental to stay organised and on top of your assignments, having the best accessories and tools to go with it will change your academic life.
Having the perfect pen, the best highlighters and desk pads will level up your college experience and your grades, I promise!
These are some of my favourite accessories for college planners:
1. Paper Mate InkJoy Pens
InkJoy pens are perfect if you are the colour-coding type of person – which I extremely recommend. These pens are really smooth and come in a variety of sizes, they don’t smear and dry out incredibly quickly.
2. Stabilo Pastel Highlighters
I am pretty sure highlighters are one of the top-used things by students, and the truth is that they are very handy. I hate neon highlighters and the typical ones I used in high school, and when I discovered these pastel ones that match all my college planners I almost cried.
3. Pastel Sticky Notes
Of course, I use pastel sticky notes that match my pastel highlighters that match my college planners because college is all about the aesthetic. Now seriously, sticky notes save my life when I have random thoughts while studying or want to give future myself a reminder.
This post is all about college planners.
