As much as makeup is the fan part of beauty, skincare is where we have to invest when it comes to our skincare routine. We’re about to enter a new season and our skin will suffer some changes, that’s why we have to look for adequate beauty products. There’s a lot of noise in regard to the best skincare routine products but I’ve been incredibly lucky to have a beauty specialist as my mum.
I’ve tried to add products for all types of skins and budgets, but if you have more questions please drop me a message and my mum and I will try to help you.
On a personal note, something I’ve learned in these 21 years helping and listening to my mum is: good quality products are not cheap. You will find cheap creams or serums with a million vitamins and acids that promise perfect skin in 4 days. These products will indeed have all those vitamins and acids but the quantity and quality inside of them are so poor that it won’t make any difference. Please be careful with the products you use and make sure they all come from genuine and legit sources.
1.Moringa Cleansing Balm (£48)
This is an all-in-one if you’re new to skincare. It can take a while to get to know what your skin wants and this is the easiest and most effective way to start. It will shrink the size of your pores and melt away makeup. It also provides with good hydration and the cloth will help with gentle exfoliation.

2. Soy Face Cleanser (£30)
If you’re looking for a cleanser that removes EVERYTHING, this is the one. It won’t leave your skin feeling tight and dry and it’s perfect if you don’t want to use 3 different products to remove your makeup and leave your skin ready for the moisturizer.

3. F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial (£44)
I’ve read that most bloggers use this as a winter cream, but I use it all year round, and it’s amazing. I have really dry skin, and this is perfect for maintaining it hydrated all day long. It also proves with cheek-plumping omega fatty acids which makes it an unbeatable cocktail.

4. Power D Treatment Drops (£115)
Provitamin D is an absolute life-changer for anyone suffering from rosacea, acne or dryness. This acts as a protecting coat for your skin preventing from aggressors such as pollution, sun or wind.

5. Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA (£6.80)
Unlike creams and serums, you don’t have to spend much to find the best moisturizer. This one offers immediate hydration thanks to its multiple acids and it absorbs fast enough for you to apply makeup afterwards. I would use this as my on-the-go and have it always in my purse.

6. Find Your Balance Oil Control Hydrator (£41.40)
Finding the best moisturizer when you have oily skin can be a nightmare. This wonder of the beauty world is formulated with botanical mattifiers to soak up the excess of oil. It is incredibly light and will give you an amazing feeling.

7. Milky Jelly Cleanser (£15)
I introduced you to Glossier on my last beauty post “Beauty Essentials For Your Skincare Routine” and I think this is my major discovery of the year. I cleanse my skin twice before going to bed and this is what I use this after removing my makeup. It gives my skin an amazing texture and I never get the horrible tight skin feeling.

8. Hydra Global Balancing Tonic Lotion (£43.50)
This is where my mum’s knowledge really comes in. This is the tonic lotion I use every single day of my life and my mum uses in her salon. No matter what type of skin you have, if you suffer from acne, rosacea, just have a couple of pimples, dry skin, whatever, this balances everything.
It restores the skin’s PH, oxygenates and encourages cell regeneration for a smoother, clearer and more even appearance.

9. Equilibrum Hydra Vital Oxigenating Cream (£53)
I use the tonic when I go to sleep and the cream in the morning and my skin feels insane. This cream nourishes, renews and revitalises dry skin.
According to the brand: “Marine extracts provide essential moisture, increasing skin volume to leave it feeling nourished, supple and comfortable. Glycolic and Vitamin oxygenate to improve cell regeneration for a brighter, smoother, more even complexion“.

10. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil (£30)
This ultra-light, quick-absorbing formula smooths your skin and gets it ready for your makeup. It’s made with essential oils including Jojoba and Chamomile and its texture minimizes the appearance of fine lines for the best makeup application.

11. Supermud Clearing Treatment (£79.95)
This mask is a blend of six acids to prevent breakouts and blackheads. It’s perfect for oily skin because of its matte and smooth finish. I’ve never tried this one because my skin is really dry, but I’ve read and heard terrific opinions.

12. Olio Lusso (£109)
A few drops of this in your bath will give your skin a boost of moisture and smoothness. Beauty specialists and bloggers celebrate this, and I have mine on its way home!

13. Glowscreen SPF 40 (£29)
A good skincare routine is not complete without SPF but Supergoop! took it to the next level. It will protect your face and also treat it with hyaluronic acid and B5 (for hydration), sea lavender (anti-oxidant protection) and cocoa peptides (to protect against blue light damage). I don’t think we can ask for more.

14. Blemish Sleeping Facial (£122)
There is a major reason for the price of this: it clears up acne in up to 48h. The formula is made with pore-clearing and bump-smoothing acids, along with a major dose of hyaluronic acid – this is the stuff we want in our products – and caffeine to hydrate, plump fine lines, and reduce puffiness, all at once. This is a must if you suffer from acne and have been struggling with the right way to treat it.

15. C E Ferulic with 15% L-ascorbic acid (£134)
This serum is a blend of 15% pure vitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid to protect against environmental damage and atmospheric ageing. I don’t think more words are needed here, this is really high quality and will bring you one step closer to the perfect skin.

Finding the best products for your skincare routine can be quite tricky. Don’t just look for information online, go to specialised salons and ask for what’s right for your type of skin.

These look like great products! Taking care of skin is so important.
I have recently added Sunscreen to my skincare routine and I think my skin is happy. Will be coming back to this post for future consideration .
Definitely want to try some of them!
What a comprehensive overview of skincare products. I hope the ones I want to try are also available in the U.S. I have the supermud by GlamGlow; it is fun to use and works well.
Thanks for sharing these tips! They look great!
